Web Design 2 | The Loaf

so this is the final outcome of what I've redesigned for the whole The Loaf website. Still, it is not a fully redesign job, some parts of the pages are mock up due to the deadline, so don't mind it pls :P

I've changed a lot of the design in the website compare to the first version which I've done due the some issues, so it is not exactly of what you've seen in my previous posts for the web design, not even close to my moodboard(LOL), but it is worth to try new thing if you found there is something not right, right?

have changed the concept into more japanese style, based on the texture and colour of the shop's design which located at Pavilion, KL. Since it is a bread selling store.i used dark chocolate and also orange colour (which is the corporate and identity colour) instead of pure black, to bring out the desire towards the breads and products.

This is a commercial website which given by the web lecturer, our task is to redesign the whole website to enhance it.

The Loaf bakery and bistro is a baking concept operating in Malaysia but based upon the traditional Japanese baking techniques.

The shop is owned by our previous prime minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir and started out in Langkawi. The bakery in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur is a branch and there is even a bistro where you can get hot food and afternoon tea.

Analysis:
*the colour scheme in the website doesn't seem relate with the brand identity.

*the repeating background of the website doesn't look professional.

*most of the body copy are image based, not real text.

*product showing section's flash navigation is not user friendly, and unnecessary.

*weak in hierarchy.

*main page's promotional banner's design can be better.

*buttons on the left look messy.

*the map on the contact us has some error.

*the overall colour mood is not suitable.

This is the typography final project: {moving-type on screen}. We are given a task which is to design a weather forecast and apply on the knowledge of typography into it. It is very different from the illustration kind of typography which you see from anywhere, you'll have to consider about the movement of the typography in screening, weather it is suitable for the rational behind.

Art-style // Concept

A first try on geometric style, together with simplification, by choosing the object which can symbolize the country. Using the black element on behind the screen to become a main flow-lead of the whole weather forecast.

ok this is a project which is about to redesign the website to a better look. mainly is focus on the typo side since this is a typo subject. so er... *cough any comments?

fly me to the moon_alice in her wonderland.

this is one of the dgm assignment(which took me quite some times to finish it)

the title for this assignment is actually Fly Me to the Moon,

which i come out with an idea by mixing up "my version" of Alice in it, and named it Alice in Her Wonderland.

something behind the scene which i would like to share. i enjoy doing this flash animation from the very first beginning until the final out come. feels good to see your own babe uploaded on youtube. lols.

there are a lot of things which have to be concern in this short animation, the details, the story concept, colour mood, style and etc, which is very important to impress the audience in such a short time. so i was trying out a few versions of art style while doing the setting.

thanks to my visual fundamental's lecturer and tutor also for giving me opinion and comments on the setting also :) really really appreciate it.

and also the seniors and junior, housemate and friends. u guys really help out a lot =D

come out another short animation maybe? xD
